If you watch the video, he has several other cards that he could sell to re-coup more money on this break. Hitting the Robert Griffin III autograph and insert cards really made a dent in the re-sale value for this case. We’d expect you to get a top-level autograph in every case (Andrew Luck, Aaron Rodgers, .. ect) .. but Robert Griffin III autographs and rookies are about as hot as they can be for a players that hasn’t played in a regular season game.

Keep in mind that with eBay fees, you knocking off about 20% from the revenue column at the top of the article. Also, the seller was very reasonable in his shipping rates ($1.58 per card) and that won’t pay for any fees/supplies (however it might lead to more bids).

All in all, given that this isn’t a complete list of the cards he could have sold – he got within 70% of the cases cost. Personally I think this is about the best you can do unless you hit a rarer Griffin III autograph.
